Welcome to Kip Haus. These terms govern your use of the Kip Haus app and kip.haus. By using Kip Haus, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
1. Who can use Kip Haus
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Kip Haus is designed for renters and hosts across Australia.
2. Your account
Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email secure — you’re responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete account.
3. What Kip Haus is
Kip Haus is a platform that helps people discover rooms and helps hosts list them. We are not a party to any rental agreement, lease or transaction between renters and hosts, and we do not own, manage, or inspect the properties listed.
4. Listings & host responsibilities
If you list a room, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information and use only photos you have the right to use.
- Have the legal right to rent the property.
- Never ask for a bond or payment before an in-person or video inspection.
Fake, misleading or fraudulent listings are prohibited and may be removed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: post false or scam content; harass or endanger others; impersonate any person or organisation; scrape or misuse the service; upload unlawful content; or attempt to bypass our safety and verification measures.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, messages, listings). You grant Kip Haus a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service. You’re responsible for the content you share.
7. Safety
We verify accounts to reduce scams, but we can’t guarantee any listing, host or renter. Always inspect a place — in person or by video — and never transfer money before you do. Report anything suspicious to hello@kip.haus.
8. Fees
Kip Haus is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in future, we’ll let you know before you are charged.
9. Disclaimers & liability
Kip Haus is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for dealings between renters and hosts, the condition or availability of any property, or losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Kip Haus and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms or put others at risk.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Kip Haus means you accept the updated version.
